Everyday is Thanksgiving!!

November it is  the major kick off for the holidays to me..  November is Thanksgiving holiday, what will you do to bring that thankful attitude to your life?
We talk a lot about gratitude everyone seems to have more November which is wonderful!!  What about  everyday being Thanksgiving!! I really believe that gratitude changes everything.
1. Start a Thankful Tree.
2. Write a thank you note to someone every day in November.
3. Spend time (not just money) helping a cause you believe in.
4. Send a college student a care package.
5. Provide Thanksgiving dinner for a family who can’t provide their own.
6. Take to social media with posts of thankfulness.
7. Send Thanksgiving cards rather than Christmas cards this year.
8. Refuse to say “Turkey Day.” Instead refer to the holiday as Thanksgiving, only Thanksgiving.
9. Host a fundraiser.
10. Post quotes of gratitude on your employee bulletin board.
11.  Rake leaves for seniors in your neighborhood.
There are so many ways we can be thankful and show gratitude in our lives everyday. Remembering to say good morning and asking people how they are  before  we  start telling or asking  for things.   People  attitudes change when we show them compassion.   Sometime we feel entitled to things  and forget to be Grateful for things!!
Please share with us how  you will be showing Gratitude or any tips you may have!!

It is a diagnosis not a Death Sentence

So  I  was officially diagnosed with diabetes.  I tell myself  it is just diagnose and now we have to learn to control.  I know  that  the first thing people think is you ate to much sugar .   Truth is  I do not eat that much sugar.  I  do  not drink soda unless it is diet.   Truthfully  I do like bread though guilty.

Slowly I make little changes and just learning  to keep it under control.
Some times  trying to control   it is hard, I also have diverticulitis,  which that means I can not eat foods with seeds, sesame seeds, nuts, I have had this for a few years.  Do not want another attack it is so painful.

So  sure  my life is a little  rough, right now.  I have a found a great doctors office, I am happy with.  So  it is just a diagnosis not my death sentence.  My plan is to be more conscious about what I eat and put in my mouth..  Of course we have cheat day we all do.
I love who I am  not going to let these things take over my life!!

Mom's Spotlight Stories

Mom's Spotlight Stories

Each week  we will  be spotlighting one of our  wonderful, supporters!!  Without them we have nothing we love supporting others.  that is what we are about here at  Mom's Coffee Shop.  We want you to get to know the people we are sharing on our page !!  It has been said people buy from people they trust.
So this we we are featuring 4mykiddos.  So please stop over and show this some love and kindness!!

Hi everyone, I'm truly honored by the opportunity to share my story. I'm married and a momma to our 4 kiddos ranging from 4- 12 and we live in rural NE. A little over 10 years ago I started searching for a way to be home with our oldest daughter at the time and help pay off our high debt load. I had a feeling of desperation and anxiety that I would have to put my baby in daycare and was tired of living with overdrawn checks and struggling to make ends meet. I searched and searched and finally chose to work with a team of women that truly had the training, support and business qualities I was looking for to help me become capable of owning my own business and creating a true residual income for our family. I've since been able to partner my love of creating a welcoming, toxin free home with my passion to help families live financially free. It's a pretty fun gig when you can see the things that bring you joy help other families! The saving grace for me has been the ability to be available for our children and be there for all of their firsts.

If your looking to become financially stable, maybe spend more time with your kiddos or start building upon your passion I would love to connect with you! You can visit http://www.4MyKiddos.com to learn more about what we do and how we can partner with you to be successful or connect with me on my fan page at http://www.facebook.com/4mykiddos or blog http://www.sabrinasandoval.com

Grandparent Day is Sunday!!!

Oh my... the summer got away from me.  The kid is in school now, Halloween is on my mind, and bam… Grandparent’s Day is Sunday.    How did I forget that?!  Did you remember or did it get away from you too?  No worries though!  I spent some time scouring the web today and found a few, simple, DIY projects you can complete in no time and still deliver a cool, unique Grandparent’s Day gift.
My son is 7  is so lucky he has his Dad's mom.  She is his best friend.  He never needs or wants for anything.  He goes to her house he is the boss.  You know what happens at grandma' home stays at grandma's home.  He calls her Grammie.

We lost  Papoo aka Grandpa this year!!  My  boy sure misses his grandpa!! My  mom passed a 5 years ago but she was pretty awesome here self.  She spoiled him rotten and played  all kinds of things with  him.  They shared a really special bond.

So here I believe is the craft we are doing.  I made a simple printable put their hand in paint or draw their hand on  here.  Should be able to just click the photo and save it and print.  Place it in a frame a quick and easy gift.

And I will add one more  I made a subway art printable.  You can put this in a frame  and decorate the frame a little and have a cute gift.

Feel free to share your idea in the comments!!  We love to check them out!!

Daily Themes!

Using daily themes when posting to social media is a great way to pre-plan all your posts at the beginning of the week. Then you can use a scheduler (like HootSuite or the scheduler on Facebook pages) to create all your posts at once and use the rest of the week to socialize.
Daily themes also allow your fans to engage with you more. Many people already use common daily hashtags – we’ve all heard of #WomanCrushWednesday, #ThrowbackThursday and #SelfieSunday. The more consistent you are with your daily themes, the more likely people are to participate in them, so don’t switch themes every week! Give your themes a few weeks before you decide if you want to change them up.
Using daily themes with your direct sales business will also make your posts more searchable if you use #hashtags. A hashtag can be searched or clicked on within a platform (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) to view all posts that contain it. Adding commonly-used hashtags to your posts allows new fans to find you!

Here are some daily theme ideas for your direct sales business.

Monday

#MusicMonday – post the song that helps get you through the day.
#MotivationMonday – post your favorite quote, movie scene, etc. that gets you going.
#MondayBlues – everybody hates Mondays! Share your reason why.
#ManicMonday – share what makes your Monday so crazy!

Tuesday

#TemptingTuesday – great for foodies (Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef), post a new recipe to try (and the results!)
#TryItTuesday – a new food, product, game, craft, etc. that you want to try. Did you just get a new product added to your line? Here’s your chance to show it off!
#TransformationTuesday – Mary Kay, Younique, Perfectly Post and other beauty consultants can show before and after pics with their products.
#TipTuesday – post a life hack, product tip, or general advice and remember to ask your followers to share their tips as well

Wednesday

#WineWednesday – try a new wine and ask followers to share a pic of their glass.
#WellnessWednesday – if you sell natural or eco products, Wellness Wednesday is the day to share your favorite tips on staying healthy! If you’re with It Works!, share your best weight loss ideas or healthy recipes.
#WednesdayWisdom – similar to Tip Tuesday, share your best advice (general or product-related). Do you sell Damsel in Defense? Here’s where you’ll share your best safety tips! Do you sell Pink Zebra, Partylite or Jewelry in Candles? Share your best candle care tips. Lia Sophia, Paparazzi, Premier or other jewelry? Teach your followers how to care for their bling.

Thursday

#ThursdayFunDay – time for a break, share a pic of the fun you’re having!
#ThankfulThursday – count your blessings and share them with the world.

Friday

#FanpageFriday   or #facebookfriday this  is a common party brings a lot of traffic to my page!!
#FlashbackFriday – when you have too much for #ThrowbackThursday, let it run over to Flashback Friday!
#FreakyFriday – Pure Romance, Passion Parties and other adults-only direct sellers will love this one. It’s time to show off your freaky side – let your imagination run wild with this one!
#FridayReads – appeal to your quieter followers with a Friday book club. Show off your favorite or current book and get ideas from fellow bookworms.

Do you use daily themes when posting to social media in your direct sales business? What are your favorite hashtags or themes? Shout them out in the comments and I’ll add the best to the list!

5 Facebook Post Ideas to Boost Engagement

Facebook is a great way market your business.
It’s essential to have a Facebook engagement to reach the goals you want to achieve. This is a list of my Top 5 tips  to help you gain engagement on facebook.
You your want to ensure your posts are getting  seen by your fans, the posts need to be engaging.
By engaging, I mean your fans need to be either liking, commenting or sharing the posts.
Check out these five tips and ideas to help boost likes and comments and get your business greater exposure on Facebook:

1. Ask Questions:

Asking your fans questions & using fill-in-the-blank posts are some of the easiest ways to get people to engage with your posts.
Don't tell anybody... but when I'm craving some Likes & comments from my own Facebook friends, I'll post a few of these suggestions just to get my community talking.
Works like a charm. Every time.
Here are a few I just found in the engine that might work well on your fan page today:
  • How many rings before you answer the phone?
  • What's the first luxury car the pops in your head?
  • If I hear one more word about ______, I'm going to explode!

2. Use Images

If you're trying to get more engagement, images are great to tell stories quickly & powerfully -- and thereby get more exposure in the news feed.
Plus they just look good.
And if you take the time to brand your photos with your company's logo, everyone who sees your great pic on Facebook will know it's coming from you.

While posting relevant content & driving traffic to your website is key -- occasionally you've just got to have some fun.
So experiment with that funny meme! Ask those random questions!
I think you'll find that these posts get some of the best response.

3.Post Tips

Interesting and useful content is one of the top reasons why people follow brands on Facebook.
This includes tips and tricks, blog posts, how-to articles, guides andeBooks.
By sharing your expertise and landing a helping hand to your fans in need you also help people see your business as a trusting source of valuable information.

4.  Post Often

If you Post once a week  your not giving much for anyone to engage with.   If you post at least once a day ( recommend 3  post a day).  I personally post  about 10 times a day!

Be sure to like your own post  if you do not like your content.

5. SHARE YOUR POST

Share your business post on your personal page,  when advertising in groups share your post.

Share other people post  the  give insight to your business on your page.

Share fun pages, recipes, and photos.  If you would like it someone else will probably like it to.

Tell us any ways you have found to gain engagement and likes on you pages.

Ways to Find Great Content

  • FACEBOOK & TWITTER

Every morning while I drink my coffee, I scroll through the posts from the previous day (or since I last scrolled) to see what’s new. Most of what shows up in my feed is super useful info, news or some much needed comic relief (but only a little bit of that.) With just 140 characters apiece, I can easily find things of interest to me quickly.

When I feel like I need to find a few new influences, I go to some of my favorites and see who THEY’RE following. I also use the handy #(hashtag) to find people/organizations who specialize in specific areas of interest to me.

  • PINTEREST
In the spirit of keeping things simple, my other “go to” source for inspiration and ideas is Pinterest. The Pinterest  always seems to know exactly what I am curious about and fill my feed there regularly with great stuff. They also send me emails (based on my settings) with Pins and Boards that might be of interest to me.
  • GOOGLE ALERTS
Google will send you an email every day with anything new on your topics of choice from that day? It’s super cool. Each night, I get a few emails from them with snippets of whatever’s been published about the topics I follow. You can set your own up right here.
I suggest picking a few topics that go with what interest you. When you put a topic into the search, Google will show you what your sample summary will look like. Sometimes choosing a narrow topic is better, and sometimes you need to widen the net.
