4th of July Ice Cream

4th of July Ice Cream

Ingredients -

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ½ of a 3 oz package of vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 box white cake mix + ingredients to make
  • Red and blue food coloring
  • Red, white and blue sprinkles

Instructions -

1. Make your cake mix according to package instructions.

2. Divide into 3 bowls.  Color one red, one blue and leave the last white.

3. Pour into a cupcake pan and bake according to instructions.

4. Allow cupcakes to fully cool and crumble them.

5. In a bowl, pour 2 cups of heavy whipping cream and whip until stiff peaks begin to form.
(A mixer is totally useful for this, but you can do it by hand if you don’t have one!)

6. In a separate bowl, pour in 1 can sweetened condensed milk.

7. Add 1 tbsp vanilla and the vanilla pudding.  Mix well.
8. Add in about 1 cupcake each red, white and blue.  Stir to mix.

9. Pour in some sprinkles.

10. Combine your red, white and blue mix to your whipped cream.  Fold in the patriotic mix carefully to keep your cream nice and whipped.
11. In a metal loaf pan, pour about half of the mixture.

12. Layer the top with crumbled cupcakes and pour the remaining ice cream mixture on top.

13. Crumble one last time with cupcake crumbles and sprinkle with sprinkles.

14. Cover with press and seal or plastic wrap and freeze for 24 hours.

We hope you enjoy this recipe!! We will share how to make some 4th of July Ice Cones to go with next!! Please share like we love comments as well!

The title says it all "You're An Un-Bee-Lievable Daddy." Bee-fore you get started, you will want to fly over to Aimee Geroux's blog to read the full tutorial for this bee-utiful and creative card! You will actually download a printable bee template to create this cute bee out of felt before attaching it to your card and completing the message. The craft itself may be a little advanced for little ones, but you can make it easier for them if you go ahead and cut their pieces for them. You could also modify the card into a coloring activity instead of a cut & paste creation if you wanted to. It all starts with the template and what you choose to do with it is up to you! Make an un-bee-lievable poster, bee garland, or bee cookies! Just think bee and you can do it! Dad will have an un-bee-lieveable Father's Day with whatever you create for him! Grab the template HERE.

Okay, I may have gotten a little sidetracked with this one because I am now staring at five origami shirts, in various sizes, that I made while watching her video. That just goes to show you just how easy this Father's Day origami card is to make; I made five in under ten minutes! Some variations of the dad shirt origami card might be an "awesome dad" shirt, or a large shirt that folds down to a "Best Dad Ever, Hands Down" art project. You can really do a lot with this: Origami shirt garland, shirts on a hanger as a Father's Day table centerpiece, and even a money gift by making your origami shirt out of dollar bills! Learn how to make your easy origami shirt Father's Day card HERE.
