How to Avoid Being Marked a Spammer!

Everyday I have literally about 50 comments that are marked as spam, about 1/3 of all of the participant
s.  That has been happening more and more.  I receive messages of why and  am I being marked as SPAM and so it led me to do a little research into what Facebook considers spamming.
Facebook’s official stance is that they mark comments that are of “low quality.”  What they consider low quality is unfortunately anyone’s guess as it’s determined by an algorithm.  Yay.  And to top that off, the results are different for each person.  Facebook takes into account many factors, including what your normal activity is and even how many friends you have.  So this truly is a unique method for each person and there’s no one way to prevent being comments being marked as spam. I find it to happen  post that are being posted on several pages and posted quickly.
As frustrating as that is, I wanted to be able to offer you more.  I want you all to be able to participate freely in our Ladders  to build your fan base without being labeled a spammer.  So trying to come up with a rhyme or reason to why they were hiding them.  I took my  research along with other information I’ve  come up with some ways you can help to make sure your comments aren’t seen as spam.  This mostly applies to tagging and page promotion , although these are good practices that can be used in most Facebook activity.  Here goes…
1.  Tag your page rather than posting the entire link.  To tag your page, just enter the @ symbol and start typing your page name.  It should come up in a pop under menu, just select your page and it will highlight the full name in your comment.  Once you post it, that highlighted text will be linked.
2.  Don’t post quickly back to back.  In the instance above, if you do have 2 pages to post, wait few minutes  or so before coming back to post the other. Likewise, don’t post quickly back to back on multiple pages.
3.  Don’t post the same thing on multiple pages.  If you’re participating in multiple Ladders at the same time, or, if you’re posting a message onto the walls of new pages, say something different each time.  Repeating the same message may label you as a spammer.
4.  Include words in your comment, not just your tag.  Say something about your page while you’re tagging it, that way Facebook feels you have quality to your post.
5.  Stay active on Facebook.  If you only post once in a while, Facebook may think your activity is unusual and flag you.  Participating regularly in tagging events will help Facebook see that this is normal activity for you.
5.  When Facebook hides your comment, you will still be able to see it.  If you’re participating in a ladder but aren’t receiving any fans from it, odds are you’re blocked to everyone else.  Send a message (now that we have the awesome new feature of messages for pages!) to the admin of the page asking them to check into your comment to see if it was marked as spam.  Note-only do this if you haven’t received ANY likes.  If you’ve received even 1, that means your comment is viewable to other people.
I hope you find these tips helpful!  Facebook tagging events can be a great way to get new fans for your page, so don’t give up! Don’t forget, we offer lots of networking posts over on our Facebook page!  Hope to see you there!

Sonny & Dew Product Review

 Sonny & Dew Product

Sonny & Dew  creates  all natural, handmade products.  I was given  the opportunity to try a few of their products.   Everything I tried had an incredible scent and worked very well.

I made video to share what I tried!

Body Butter– I tried this in the scent of  Day at the Beach and Shea & Coconut . It brought me right back to ocean shore where.   The scent of salt air and sunscreen bring you  into a deep relaxation.  I could not get enough of these!  The body butter left my skin soft thanks to a combination of aloe vera and refined shea butter. The scents were absolutely amazing.
Sugar Scrub- We tried two of these the Perk Me Up  &  Shea & Coconut scent. The sugar granules were not overly gritty, it was smooth when you put it on!  It left my hands feeling smooth and clean.    Again, the scent….amazing.
Soap- the handmade soap comes in a giant hunk! For this one I have been given the  Day at the Beach- which is such a pretty  color  blue with ridges that remind me of the ocean waves.   The scent is incredible  I have not  used this yet but  I am excited  to try.  The ingredients are cocoa butter, shea, jojoba oil and goat milk plus some  just an amazing scent.
Sonny & Dew also make facial care products, hair products  and candles  I can say from  my review you would not go  wrong by  any of their products all of them were amazing..
You can find more natural handmade goodies by going here! These products are also available in several stores in Long Island.

One Word For 2018

One Word For 2018

I am not one to really set resolutions. I mean, I kind of do. I reflect on the past  and think about where I want to be in the next year.  I think about myself and what  I can do to get to that place next year.   So instead of  a resolution I thought of a word!!    " MORE "
How my word came about !  My mother in law had my son for a couple days.  I had went to picked him up and realized how much I miss my boy.   So we pull in the drive way he gets out of the car and ask about the mess.  Well last night we had friends over to ring  in the New Year!  We played  Rock Band , had some snacks!  Brought in the  New year with some Fireworks and Poppers!   As  I was cleaning up I realized something.  I loved the mess, and I want " More" of them.  I want more get friend and family get to gathers.

I thought of several phrase  and they all had one word in common!  That word is More.. Do More, Love More, Move More,  Give More, and Share More...

Hearing the word MORE by itself some might think I am being  greedy or wanting more stuff,  or money but I promise that is not it.   So let me explain what I mean by  MORE  for 2018.  Let me elaborate  and maybe  I can inspire you or some one else  to find a word to help you.

do More

I am more inspired by the two word phrase of “do more.” I  want to do more in 2018. Experience more adventures with my family, do more in my community, and do more with my business (which includes this blog).

love More

I want to show the people in my life  how much I love them.  It is not like  am not  mean  to people now .  I just want to find ways to to show them how much I care about them.  Maybe with random acts of kindness.  Remembering to ask them how they are and not being all about me.    Maybe tell them more often I love them or gifts for no reason.  We will see!

move More

I am definitely working on my fitness goals  this year.   I  making sure that I am able to enjoy life with my family.  I want to really get back in to my walking.  I really want to take my son camping and not  just  sit around a campsite.  I want to have more Adventures, both on the road and at home.  I  want more physical activity less in front of a screen.

give  More

I have a lot  to give my time, my talents, my love, my services. I want to give more in 2018 to help others and inspire them. That may not mean giving money, but maybe giving of my time or helping others in ways that I may have a talent or knowledge that they could find useful.ear

save More

My friend did The $5 savings plan, every time she had $5 she put in a jar to save. On New Years Eve this year she  had $550 dollars saved.   Every little bit we set aside adds up, sometimes in surprising amounts. The $5 savings plan is one of a few methods you could use to save a little more money over the course of the year, and its randomness makes it somewhat enjoyable.

share More

I want  to share my story.. Like I am not  super interesting or anything (because trust me, I am not) but because maybe my story (or stories) will help or inspire others.  If something  I have  been through  could inspire your or help you make a better decision.

Like many do not know my son was a preemie, and has Autism.  Or that I was high risk the whole pregnancy.  Or how I  ended up going to college and  graduating with Honors.  So I have a high school diploma, GED, and Double AA Degree.  Or that my dad was the youngest of 17 children.  I love my large family of aunts and uncles, and cousins galore.

This doesn’t mean I am going to turn this into a personal blog all about my family and giving you updates. It means, I am going to try and let you know more about me and my family if I think that it is something that might benefit you.

I also want to share more  our adventures, both on the road and at home. I want to share how I am  planning and saving money because really, I want this year to be the year that you realize that you too can travel and do the things you love.

What I hope from 2018

By the end of 2018, I hope that I will be able to say that 2018 was more fulfilling.   That as a person I grew more as a Mom. wife, sister, friend and daughter in law. that  by doing more it will bring more joy in my life.  I do not expect magic to happen.  But I do believe if I work hard for  what I want I can do More.

Happy New Years 2018
